Bora X-PURE Hob Ireland
The premium Austrian/German brand BORA has a range of venting hobs, ovens, and cooking drawers. Their most popular hobs in Ireland are the PURE and the XPURE. These BORA hob models are complete integrated extraction units that have induction hob zones and the extractor fan built in.
Below we have highlighted the 2 BORA X-PURE models to help you decide which one is better for you and your kitchen design.
BORA XPURE Hob
BORA X-PURE
The BORA XPURE is available in two different models. The recirculated model is called PUXU and the external ducted model is PUXA. The XPURE is larger than the PURE and comes with two large rectangular induction zones - Surface Induction. This allows you to place more than 4 pots on the hob if they fit within the zones. It also allows you to add rectangular accessories such as the BORA Grill Pan (pictured below).

BORA PUXA
The PUXA ducted model of the BORA X-PURE range requires some additional planning and BORA ducting. Our BORA sales team can help you plan the route of your ducting and provide you with prices for all the necessary parts. We recommend you order your XPURE and ducting well in advance as the ducting is usually required before your floors are poured. If your BORA is being ducted directly behind the hob through a wall then no floor ducting is required.

The image above is an example of the BORA ducting for a PUXA model installed on an island. The ducting runs from the back of the XPURE hob and down to the floor. It can be installed in the concrete sub-floor or if the sub-floor is already poured, you can cut the insulation and recess the ducting into the insulation. Your floor screed can then be poured to cover the ducting.
BORA PUXU
Below is the BORA PUXU model from the X-PURE range. This model does not require any external ducting and gives you more freedom for positioning your hob when you can’t place a duct in the floor or through a wall. The BORA PUXU comes with a filter that may need to be replaced between 12 and 18 months depending on the amount of time your hob is used.
BORA Filter Replacement
The BORA PUXU model comes with a disposable filter, PUAKF - which needs to be replaced. Your XPure hob has a timer built-in that counts down the number of hours you use your hob. When your filter is coming toward the end of its life you will hear a warning ‘beep’ to remind you to change the filter. We recommend having one in your home so that you can change it as soon as you hear the ‘beep.’ Below you will see a quick video guide on how to replace your PUAKF filter on your X-Pure model.
